Matthew Kenichi Muranaga is an artist for both theater and film.

Matthew attended California State University of Northridge, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in creative writing in 2014. Meanwhile, he spent five years contributing to the processes of design, fabrication, installation, and management for more than forty productions for the university's theater department.

For four years Matthew was the director of the design and technology program for the Teenage Drama Workshop at California State University, Northridge. In 2016, he taught award-winning design and technology classes at the Los Angeles High School of the Arts.

Before attending San diego state university, matthew worked in corporate theater, traveling the country working as a scenic consultant and project manager for clientele such as Morgan Stanley, Illumina, Sharp Rees-Stealy, and fox entertainment.

Between the years 2009 and 2021 he has upwards of eighty theatrical show credits - several of which were award-winning, and one of which was a nominated production for an Ovation Award. He was also recognized with a meritorious achievement award by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival for assistant set design work in 2014 for CSUN's production of "Electricidad".

Matthew currently works at Fullerton College (not to be confused with CSUF) as scene shop supervisor for The theatre department within the division of fine arts. Professionally, he has worked in film as Production Designer and Art director, properties supervisor, and set dresser for two feature films, three music videos, and numerous short films. He is also an amateur published short fiction author, and lives in Southern California.
